SEA SWAT MISSIONS

A Sea Swat Mission is a time-sensitive mission designed to document urgent issues and disasters through real-time journalistic coverage and dissemination. We use a rapid-deployment team prepared to photograph and film natural and man-made disasters on short notice. The goal is to bring home a comprehensive portrait of an area in order to focus on its conservation issues or threats.

The images and video obtained will be shared with SeaLegacy’s conservation partners, scientists, media, and other stakeholders, who will use the material to convene audiences and build constituencies that support urgent conservation actions.

The images created by Sea Swat Mission will be shared and distributed for free to a network of media outlets to achieve maximum audience attention.

Time and resources are the two key elements of a Sea Swat Mission. To that end we are creating a fund to which donors can contribute. This fund will ensure that rapid deployment is possible and effective.
